Purebred Portuguese Water Dogs

  I wanted to write to you today to let you all know how grateful I am for providing me with such an amazing Portuguese Water Dog! The care you have given Nala (formerly Scout) as a pup truly shows in her demeanor. She is well behaved and gentle with our family and our Bichon dogs. She listens quite well to simple commands like come, sit, stay, and no:) I took her to the Veterinarian today and the entire office was impressed by how well she participated with all her cares. I took great pride in describing the loving atmosphere she came from as well as how informative you were with the Portuguese Water Dog research and helpful hints. The Vet even said to me in his 40 years of greeting dogs he could tell she is going to be an excellent dog. Nala was spot on when partaking in the behavioral assessment!
     Your personal attention to each of the pups shined through when we came to visit her at your house. It was like a Disney World for dogs seeing the play area outside. Your children seemed to be an important part of helping as well! This experience has been so pleasant, I can’t help but feel all the love in my heart. I will absolutely pass on your information for future litters if you decide to continue. I’ll be sure and send pictures and updates as Nala continues to grow and succeed in teaching us how great she can be! 

 Of all the breeders we have known, Orchard River Water Dogs gave us the most positive experience. Our puppy was raised in a loving family that thought of everything from health checks to socialization. They asked us what we would like to name our pup so she could start learning her name well before we brought her home. We have dog allergies In our family and we were able to arrange several visits to meet the puppies and test for allergies in a stress-free environment. We have just brought our puppy home and are amazed with her playfulness, yet ability to relax and are especially happy with how she easily bonds with all of her new human family members. Communication was great throughout the entire process. It is our absolute pleasure to highly recommend Orchard River Water Dogs! 

Just settling in with our new best friend, but didn’t want the weekend to go by without thanking you for allowing us to be Tilly’s (aka Socks/Boots) forever family.  From the first email exchange, to our telephone conversations, onto our zoom call, and finally our one on one meetings with you and Tilly, it’s been nothing but a pleasure working with both of you.  As a soon to be PWD owner I was most impressed with the involvement of the entire family in raising 11 pups.  That is no small task and it demonstrated to me that these pups were given love, attention and proper care. Importantly it also meant that the puppies were exposed to children and many of the activity patterns and household noises that Tilly will find in our home.  And I found that to be very comforting as well as validation that I had found the right breeder.  Additionally I loved the weekly you tube videos and individual photos so we could track their progress.  While we would have loved to take two, we are happy with Tilly for now and will definitely be interested in hearing about Maggies next litter to possibly add to our PWD family.  Til then, we will send periodic updates of our beautiful Tilly.
